Celestia UK
Celestia UK is building the next generation of satellite communication antennas to bring very high data throughput between ground-based equipment and satellites. We are working with the European Space Agency and the UK Space Agency to develop a fully electronic scanning ground station, so no moving parts, that is capable of tracking and communicating simultaneously with multi satellites.
The new applications of these antennas cut across numerous markets including rural broadband internet, airborne communications, autonomous transport, facilities automation, earth observation, remote healthcare and education.

Office and HR Manager
What will your job look like?
The
role will involve providing exceptional support to the company covering both Office
Management and Human Resources. Reporting to the CEO and working with a highly
skilled and motivated team covering the full spectrum of human resources
activities, you will also be responsible for the effective running of our
offices in the UK, Spain and Portugal.
Responsibilities
This position is evolutionary in a growing business, and the below description is indicative of the tasks required to be performed currently.
Office Management
- General office administration and reception duties including, meet & greet, manage incoming calls & emails, schedule appointments and follow-up as necessary.
- Facilitate office supplies and services, including external suppliers.
- Arrange travels, meetings and related logistics.
- Provide secretarial support to Senior Management
- Work with local teams in UK, Spain and Portugal
- Work with Director of Operations to ensure effective running of the office facilities and service agreements.
Human Resources
- Be the point of contact for general staff enquires, new-starter onboarding, leavers and day to day personnel queries
- Promote and help to develop company policies and robust protocols; ensuring all are understood and followed by staff.
- Support all employees and promote a positive workplace environment.
- HR database and documentation administrator; resignation letters, offers, contracts, annual leave request and reports etc
- Identify future hiring needs and develop job descriptions and specifications across our different markets.
- Support Celestia UK in legislative and administrative employment matters

- Training & Development
Events
- Organize social & team-building events throughout the year at the direction of CEO.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of events – liaising with the internal Events and Marketing team
- Organising recruitment events.
- Work with local schools/businesses/charities to promote the company and grow brand awareness.
- Attend events where required.
- Source marketing materials and giveaways for internal and external events and promotions
What are we looking for?
- 5+ years of relevant experience and progressive responsibility in human resources, including at least 2 years in office administration (technology sector is a plus)
- Extremely well organized and self-directed individual with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus.
- Competent using MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Experience of using online HR tools
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confident and clear communicator, both written and verbal with the ability to relate to people at all levels of the organisation
- Fluency (both written and spoken) in English
